This intensive course is designed to equip you with the essential alpine mountaineering skills needed to safely and confidently climb under the guidance of a professional. You'll train in real mountain environments and cover critical techniques including:

  • Efficient movement in boots

  • Basic climbing and scrambling skills

  • Use of crampons and ice axes

  • Abseiling and down-climbing

  • Layering systems and cold weather management

  • Selecting the right gear (boots, clothing, harnesses, etc.)

Throughout the course, you'll experience two physically demanding days on varied mountain terrain to help you understand the physical and technical demands of guided climbs in the Alps.
