Rock Introduction Climbing Course | Peak District

Our Rock Introduction course is tailored for beginners and those wanting to refresh their skills. Under the guidance of experienced and supportive instructors, you’ll gain a solid foundation in climbing outdoors while enjoying the stunning gritstone crags of the Peak District.

You’ll learn key skills, from movement techniques to safety practices, building confidence as you explore a variety of routes set against breathtaking scenery. With all equipment provided, the only things you’ll need are enthusiasm and a sense of adventure!

What You’ll Learn

• How to use climbing guidebooks and understand the grading system
• Correct fitting and use of harnesses and helmets
• Belaying techniques and different belay devices
• Movement coaching to develop efficient climbing technique
• Climbing on different rock types to build confidence

By the end of this course, you’ll have climbed multiple routes and gained the skills and self-belief to begin your journey towards independent climbing.
