You’ll climb Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), the highest peak in Wales and the tallest point in Britain outside the Scottish Highlands; tackle the rugged Cader Idris in southern Snowdonia; and summit Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog).

The meeting location for this event is Nant Peris near Llanberis in North Wales. You will be returned to this location at the end of the challenge. We can also transport people back to Bangor train station at the end of the challenge.

Ability Level
The Welsh Three Peaks Challenge is a demanding hike that requires a good level of fitness and hill-walking experience. You’ll cover about 20 miles (32 km) and climb over 3,000 metres in total, all within a single day.
Participants should be comfortable walking for up to 12 hours in the mountains. Regular training on hills, good walking boots, and suitable clothing for changing weather are essential. With proper preparation, most fit walkers can complete the challenge safely and enjoyably.
